Distortion of the section after trimming

I am trying to model a K Joint. I used surface line to cut a section in the chord thickness through the weld brace and weld width. I used solid edit,, trim with lines, with sweep lines and use Y axis for the direction. But after the trim I get distorted section as shown in Fig 2. What could be the possible cause of this

Fig 3 : the distorted section where i cannot do meshing

    Hello sbhbajra,

It's hard to explain from the pictures.
    Can you upload the model?
What HyperMesh version are you using?

    Best regards,
    Gunter

I have uploaded the model. I have used hypermesh 21. If you could see in the model, i have been experiencing additional problems, the distortion of meshing in the brace

I would be grateful if you could help me

I would recommend to remove the cuts at the opposite side of the tube.
This can be done via Boolean operation combine.

It's also a geomtry visualization issue.
Hide the geometry and you will see that elements are prefectly shaped.

Please find attached the modified model.

    Best regards,
    Gunter
