Structural analysis for casting part

Hi all experts,

I have a question: After I run a casting simulation with Inspire Cast, can I run a structural analysis to check my part is safe or not?

If possible, how can I do and what software of Altair can I use?

Thank you.

    Hello Nancy,

If you are planning to run a deformation/thermomechanical analysis for stresses, you can do it within Inspire Cast itself.  For other purposes, you can use the result files generated from Inspire Cast which can be used in HyperMesh/Optistruct to do post-processing.

    Thank for your answer.

But I want to run a structural analysis for my cast part after filling to check if it is safe or not. Not post-processing.
