Backing up repository for a move

Hi,

We're switching our RDBMS and servers.  What is the best way to back up my server (data and processes), so I can then install it on the new server.  If there is a how to guide, I couldn't find it.

Thanks,

Rachel

Thank you.  So this should work:

    1. Backup my existing database
    2. Migrate the database to the new RDBMS
    3. Install a new instance of RM Server on my new machine
    4. Point RM Server to the migrated database

    Thanks,

    Rachel

Yip, this is the best way.  I did this a couple of times myself.  Best is to make a fresh installation of RM Server at the same time although it is actually possible to change the configuration scripts of an existing installation as well (but is much more complex).

    Cheers,

    Ingo

Yes, that is the typical process.  Good luck!
