You need to go to File > load > results within HyperMesh 

.res is a HyperMesh results file.

you can read an .out file with any text editor ( like notepad)

.out files contains information about the solution and run/optimization history and it cannot be opened in HyperView.

because i wrote a matlab routine and would like to read it in HiperView

so i would try to obtain my results in matlab with a similar syntax to .out file, for example, to be able to read it in HiperView

Out file is not the way for that,
