Hi Stephen,
thanks for the reply. I actually have the 0.h5 file downloaded. I did not change anything during the simulation run and used the same EDEM version. I'm not sure about the read/write permission part of your answer.. The cluster runs linux and i'm using Windows locally to view the results. Worked well in the past but now suddenly i get the error.. I can re-run the sims but i'm not sure what i can change to make it work.
Kind regards

Hi Clemens,
It sounds like there may have been some file corruption either during processing or downloading. Did you re-download the .dem and .dfg files also.
One option is to open a blank EDEM deck and go to the Analyst > File > open and choose the files as this opens from the first time-step rather than the last. Also you can try deleting/renaming the .dfg file so this gets recreated with default properties (for the simulator and analyst) and can sometimes help.

Hi Stephen,
it worked now that i loaded a second timestep. So i have 0.h5, 1.h5 and 100.h5 (the last one i was interested in).
Cheers!

Hi Clemens,
You will also need the 0.h5 file as well as the last result, the 0.h5 contains all the Creator settings. If you change the creator settings mid simulation you would need the .h5 file that contains those changes also. If you do have the 0.h5 file it's best to make sure it's fully downloaded and that you are opening with the same version used for simulating.
Other possible error is sometimes if running on a cluster and copying the files you don't by default have read/write file permissions in the new location, which is a bit more specific to Linux setup.
