it would make sense to have this plugin integrated ans support by Rapid-I, e.g. for Preditictive Maintenance.
See: Salfner (2008): Event-based Failure Prediction-An Extended Hidden Markov Model Approach, Dissertation, Department of Computer Science, Humboldt University Berlin, Berlin, http://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/Members/salfner/publications/index_html0 -
Does anyone know how to install that plugin?

You can just download a different implementation of Jahmm (HMM in Java) from Rudolf Kadlec at http://code.google.com/p/rapidminerhmm/downloads/detail?name=rapidminer-HMM-5.0.000.jar.
And as described at http://code.google.com/p/rapidminerhmm/wiki/Usage just copy the downloaded .jar file into $RAPIDMINER$/lib/plugins and start RapidMiner. HMM operators should then be visible in RapidMiner under Modeling/HMM.1 -
Is there any example or tutorial for this plugin that shows how to use it?0
