How to define Rotational Speed and Traverse Speed

Hi,

I'm trying to numerically simulate the Friction Stir Processing (FSP) in Altair Hypermesh. I've created the model of the material and FSP tool and defined their material properties. Also, I've defined the SPC and axial force exerted by FSP tool on the material. Please tell me how to define the rotational speed (RPM) and traverse speed (mm/min) of the FSP tool. I will appreciate if you can send me instruction manual on how to numerically simulate the Friction Stir Processing (FSP) in Altair. I've attached the image for your reference. Thank you.

    Hi,

I'm not sure what are you targeting to calculate from the simulation, but using Radioss as the solver would be a better start point. (instead of OptiStruct, that is what you''re using).

There is an example on using initial rotation in your model.

BUT, you should first understand what you want to get from your simulation, as not everything might be simulated here.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I'm targeting to simulate the temperature profile of the Friction Stir Process.
