Tet Collapse Problem

Hi everybody.

I'm starting mesh a skid loader frame, in which there are some thin thikness. I have a problem about meshing this frame. I'd like to use tetra mesh command, so I meshed the surfaces by automesh and then I realized the 3d mesh by 'tetra mesh'. The final mesh often presents problem with tet collapse parameter and I noticed that if there are some elements with tet collapse < 0.1 I can't launch the analysis in Optistruct.

So I guess:

Is it possible that if  there is only an element that fails tet collapse check the analysis does not run?

May I launch the analysis in any way?

If not, how can I optimize the mesh for structural analysis in Optistruct?

I suppose that tet collapse failure elements can depend by thin thikness...

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

    Hi Stefano,

By Tetra remesh you can try for improving mesh quality or manual method if failure of tet collapse is less in number.

Optistruct allows PARAM CHECKEL NO which would not check the element quality during analysis.

    Hi Rahul

    Thank you very much.

By tetra remesh I solved the problem.
