thickness assigning to the element by scripting
Altair Employeei would like to assign thickness property to the element by measuring the thickness of geometry and moving the elements to particular component collector by tcl scripting.

Thank you tinh and george for quick respond. In HM V11 the option mid mesh thickness was in utility tab, i could not able to find the option in HM V14. more over in my case geometry is been meshed at outer surface.

Thank you rahul, but in my case its not mid mesh, outer surface is meshed and need to measure the distance between element and opposite surface and the element need to moved to the collector accordingly (manually ) need to automate it.

It works with mesh on outer surf also.
Did you try that tool?
