Hallo Freinds,

I am analysing impact case with Radioss, here I am using composite material, therefore I have used M25_COMPSH material card image. In this card image I added the values of tensile failure strain in dir.1 and dir.2, in order to know which element will be deleted after impact, but after running simulation, simulation goes till some points very well but after sometimes error start increases and goes up to -99.9% and stay constant and simulation keep running. What does it mean? I need your help friends.

Thank You

    Hi Sanket,

Negative Energy Error represents the energy dissipated from the system.  This can be damping from many sources including plastic deformation and hourglass energy.  If you are not expecting high plastic deformation in the problem, then hourglass energy can be a reason.
