Hi,

I have one general question.

I have one rectangular bracket and performing structural analysis with 2 different materials keeping the same boundary conditions.

1.with aliminium 2.with steel

After completing first analysis is it necessary to run the second analysis?

If not then how we predict the result for the second analysis?

With multiple material you can run analysis in one go.what solver you are using?

    Hi Tushar,

It is a bit confusing.Do You have two brackets with two different materials?

    Hi Prakash,

    I have single bracket.

Want to check the performance of bracket with different materials that which material is efficient for manufacturing of the bracket.

    Hi Rahul,

    I am using radioss solver.

Do you have any tutorial of multiple material problem for more clarity?

Please share with me or if not suggest how can I approach this .

Based on Aluminium material results we cannot predict exactly how it will behave with Steel.

Model the material with two materials separately and run the analysis since you want to check performance of bracket with different materials.

    Thanks very much.

But can we run the analysis in one go to obtain the result for both material?

Is it necessary to always Re-run the analysis??

    Hi Thushar,

You have to run the analysis separately for both the materials.

Hi, You could have two different parts each with different materials in the same analysis and run them at once if you want.  For example, rather then run 3 tensile test simulations I combined them in one model like the attached.

    Hi Andy,

I think it should not be a problem until you refer the right material and Bcs to right part.
