hi,

I'm dealing with a model of about 134 MB while doing meshing i had self intersection problems so replaced some of the nodes. Now for doing eigen value analysis i want to import it to ansys (imported using solver deck) but it showing some error as optistruct was not recognised .If i import iges file it is showing some error.what should i do?? is it advisable to use ansys solver or optistruct solver?? i'm using hypermesh 13.0 and ansys 15.0

You can carry out modal analysis using Optistruct solver.Pshell card is needed  for property definition.

For Eigen value Structural analysis use tetrahedral elements for solid components.
