Can somone help me with meshing this. New to hypermesh still learning so I need to see if I'm doing a good job.
As the title says. I'm a student learning hypermesh at home. It's abit hard without guidlines to know what a good mesh looks like. So if somone with some expiriance would help me just so I can have a reference I would be very thankful . /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' /> Cheers mates

Hi,
There are several factors we consider for a good meshing which starts from midsurfacing, geometry cleanup, choosing element size, element type, mesh density, quality....etc.
I recommend you to go through https://altairuniversity.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/meshing.pdf document which gives a good introduction to meshing and good practices to follow in meshing.
Also, please download our free ebook, Practical Aspects of Finite Element Simulation (A Study Guide) which will be a good reference for you on Finite Element Analysis where many theoretical aspects are covered with examples.

Whatever learning at home or at school, it's very good for learning /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
Your part is simple to mesh. So have a look at Hypermesh tutorials and try it.
When you have some difficulties, ask here. But the most important thing is try to do firstly.

Thanks for the replay guys. I actually have it meshed, but still need abit more learning since I want to try and make the mesh as perfect as I can. I get alot of iregularities in the topology I guess I'll see what i can do with the tutorial materials you guys suggested. Thank you. I'll actually post it meshed once I get it done just so somone can check it and tell me if it's done well. Hope that's ok. Thanks again guys /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
