Quadratic Elements AcuSolve

Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible to generate quadratic tetrahedrons in AcuConsole when meshing ? Since quadratic elements allow a faster convergence therefore we will not need too much refinement of the FE mesh.

If it is not possible to generate quadratic volume elements, then is it possible to import a mesh containing quadratic elements ?

Thanks for your valuable help.

AcuConsole will by default generate tetra (volume) and tri (surface) elements.

    There are other options:

    - create an extruded mesh in AcuConsole. This will create penta (volume) elements, that have quads on the surfaces.

    - Generate the mesh in HyperMesh and import in AcuConsole. Or if it is simple setup, also do the setup and start AcuSolve directly from HyperMesh .

Here is a link to AcuSolve setup from HyperMesh.

AcuConsole does not support high order (quadratic) elements.  The solver doesn't support them, either.
