I am conducting a drop test of a head having a helmet. I have received the surface file of the head and I do not know the Material properties of the helmet, but I know its mass. Is there a way I can do the 2D mesh of this body and not give any material as I dont have props but just give mass?

Hi,

It can be decided based on which body you want to analyse.

One option is studying only the helmet, where no head will be taken into consideration and material properties of only helmet is required.

Second option is head +helmet, but only mass of head is to be considered then use ADMASS on the helmet and perform as portion 1.

Third is where you want to study any injury criteria on head also then both head and helmet needs to be modelled properly with material properties.

Hi Datta,

If you are considering the body the as a rigid you can do the same. You can card edit the rigid body and can assign the mass. For rigid bodies there is no need to assign material or property.
