Hi everyone,

I am designing a gearbox housing, and from the contact points from the gears I am creating nodes, applying forces and creating rigids to transfer the load to the faces of the bearings.

But during the simulation, I am getting the error 173. So I understand that from the same node I cannot link two different rigids.

I have seen some posts and how to solve it, but I think my dobut now is more on the procedure I need to follow to solve it, si what I have tried seems it havent worked.

I have read that I need to create another node to avoid dependencies, so:

I created another temp node,

I applied new forces to that node,

I created Rigids from that node to the faces where I want to apply the forces.

But as I said, I am getting the same error.

I have attached the model if anyone wants to take a look: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8x173c58cpjl1y4/5.hm?dl=0

Thank you beforehand,

Guillermo

Two rigids element can't use the same dependent nodes.

    Hi,

I can suggest something which you can try:

    1) Create another coincident node at same location

    2) create a zero length spring element between these two nodes with high stiffness

    3) use one node for rigid 1 and another for rigid 2
