Hi,

I want to make a non linear (with contact

deformation of the surfaces) analysis of a bearing shell which is pressed into a hole. I have not found any similar tutorials for this problem yet. If there are no tutorials available could you give me some useful tips?

Many thanks in advance

    Hi,

Yes we don't have similar tutorial for your requirement from structural analysis point of view.

If you want to perform simple nonlinear analysis with contact and stress & displacement as output. It could be achieved using Hyperworks Optistruct & Radioss.

Note:Book written by By Nitin Gokhale for Practical finite element analysis Chapter 10 , 10.6 covers topic of Bearing simulation.

Even in support forum with bearing keyword you would find some topic.

In Hyperworks help search panel if you enter keyword as 'Pressed in bearing shell' you would find tutorials available in Hyperxtrude for bearing simulation.

    Regards
