Hi,

I am a beginner level user of Hypermesh. I am developing a bracket in optistruct using teramesh and forces & constraints applied to nodes in linear static mode. I am looking to carry out a stress analysis of the body. On running optistruct I am getting the following error -

A fatal error has been detected during input processing:

  *** ERROR # 1997 *** in the input data:
In SUBCASE 1: STATSUB(PRETEN) must refer to a SUBCASE above the current one.

When I try to open the results, it reopens my mvw file instead. I found online that the error has something to do with bolts & preloads; which I have not used in the file. Pls assist.

Thanks,

Nipun

    Hi @Nipun

In SUBCASE 1: STATSUB(PRETEN) must refer to a SUBCASE above the current one.

First create a Pretension subcase and then create another case which takes this prentension subcase and try again.

    Hi

If you don't use PRETENS loadstep, just keep loadstep #1 then delete others
