I try to build up a very simple 1D beam simulation. However, I keep getting an error. Model checker tells me that my 'Beam or truss property with area less than or equal to 0'.
What is the reason? I attached the .hm file.

This error is due to the orientation defined for the beam.

Ok, your file works! However, I couldn't figure out what is wrong in my file? Are there settings for the beam-orientation? Where?

Ah, I guess I figured it out. 1D>bars>'update' and there Orientation to X-Axis. Does this define the orientation of beamsection?
Now you have updated the orientation of the beam. But while creating the beam define the orientation axis properly as it determines how the bars are oriented in 3D space.
