Hello...

I am new to Hypermesh and AcuSolve and will be using both to investigate flows in pipes.

I was wondering what is the Material option in Hypermesh for? Do we need to set our material properties in Hypermesh and then export the solver deck to AcuConsole? Or can we set our materials and material properties in AcuConsole?

Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Either way should work fine.

You can set the material and export it as .inp and later import the .inp to AcuConsolve.

If you use the user profile > Engineering Solutions > CFD > AcuSolve you will get three material by default (Water_HM, Air_HM, Aluminium_HM).

With the latest release 2017.3 most features of AcuConsole are implemented in HyperMesh. So there is no need to go to AcuConsole for most of the problem setups.

If you are missing any feature in HyperMesh, that is present in AcuConsole please write to me.
