Magnetic torque output in Brushed DC motor

Hello, I'm trying to simulate brushed dc motor in flux.

I would like to know the change of magnetic torque according to the change of rotor shape.

However, in my model, the average torque increases as the width of the rotor tip decreases.

Is this the right result?

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks.

    Hi Jinsan Kim,

The result is correct; the mean value(average) of the torque increases as the width of the rotor tip decreases, but the ripple of the torque will increase significantly.

    Best regards,

    Alexandru

    Hi Jinsan Kim,

As Alexandru-Ionel Constantin told, yes is possible and this behaviour could be due to the saturation of the last part of the teeth that are very thin in the first case. Please plot the isovalue of the magnetic induction on the component and compare it with the soft magnetic material assigned to it.
