Divergence in solution
hi
I want to perform the thin-walled structure analysis, but i have a problem that i couldn't able to find out. In the radioss solver after certain process it shows the divergence in solution.
please help me

Are you trying to perform something like tube crushing?.If so, use imposed type loading conditions.

I have done the modelling according to the pdf file for honeycomb impact-attenuator but during the solving once the holes were crushed it shows divergence in the solution. i didn't got this problem. please help me throughout.

Hi,
I meant to say that the time remaining for the solution is continuously increasing after the certain progress. I can't get the complete solution as it is in progress that never seems to end. I have done similar modelling but this time I have trouble with this model. I have given the velocity to the rigid component and expected to saw total crushing of the thin-walled structure but after the crushing of the holes part it didn't move further forward. I have added the interferences according to my knowledge. Have I added these interference in right manner ?
please help me.

Hi Chirag,
Apologies for the delay.
Due to the time step drop the run time is increasing. From the engine out files check what is causing this issue. It could be an element, or node or interface.
For an element, check the related material.There must not be an error in the units system that this data is given in. check the element size also.
For a node, check the characteristics of connected elements. If the node is on the master side or the slave side of an interface, this interface must be verified.
For an interface, the gap of the interface must be verified if some failure happens on the master or the slave side of the interface. Also check the interface for any penetrations.
I recommend you to apply an imposed loading condition for this case. Also we have a tutorial on a similar case, RD-3530: Buckling of a Tube using Half Tube Mesh.
I'm attaching the same for your reference.
I have made some modifications in your model and the same is attached for your reference. Please try with the same.

Hello Sir,
I had changed the stress-strain curve for the material that i had assigned for the my thin walled structure but after that it showed the error 156 error in function read. Before changes the model ran properly. Is am i doing something wrong with material defining? how can this error be removed?

I have problem again, I am working on the new model but i have same problem again that the time is increasing again. Also somehow i had able to get the successful run but I didn't got the force- displacement curve. I had selected the engine card. So, i had tried to run it again but this time the time is increasing again..
