    Hi Kartik,

I doubt whether Type 7 will work for this contact. You may have to try with Type 11 contact.

Please go through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLGwVwYSmt4&t=56s&index=4&list=PLQ7KUGFuVz4u5y3SvIEIU07427-gATaG6 which is a webinar on RADIOSS and chapter 4 deals with contacts.

    Hi George P Johnson,

Thank you for your immediate reply. I can see you have defined 2 contacts.

I have a few queries below:

    1. How is the predefined initial stiffness of 5000 and its stiffness factor 0.8 assumed.
    2. Why the use of multiple contacts in the simulation? Isn't type 11 sufficient.
    3. Also is there anything else i.e modified?

    HI,

Sorry, i forgot to change this. This simulation will work without STMIN and STFAC values. As  a trial for the previous run I gave these values. Please remove it and run the analysis.

The edge to edge interface was not perfectly working and so Type 7 was also introduced with Type 11. No other changes were made,
