ERROR # 1501 ***

Hello everyone,

I have a question about error 1501: ' for material id = 1 referenced from property id = 1. Either E or G must be explicitly provided for MAT1. Otherwise singular material is produced.'.

I'm using solver Optistruct.

Could you please give me somes advices?

Hi Lara,

G or Nu will be calculated basd on input. If you remember of Solid mechanics E= 2G(1+Nu).

So you need atleast two parameters to calculate the third. If you furnish all three make sure they match with the equation /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20'>

Howerver, the error 1501 still exists.

Could you please give me some ideas?

Hi Lara,

Instead of giving all three you can just provide two material parameters. But make sure you enter atleast two parameters from E, G and NU

If you still get the error, please share the model file.
