Hello,

i am applying an equal and opposite force on my model (in +Z & -Z direction). I am expecting the displacement from both the sides in final result....but unfortunately the the displacement is only in +Z axis.

Is the solver first applying the force in +Z direction and then in -Z...... or does it apply forces simulateously in both direction?

I defined 2 different loadsteps for F1 & F2 (with same constraints and NLPRM card).

Pls help

Regards

    Hi Palash,

Is there a reason to you have both +Z and -Z force in separate load collectors?

Try with both loads in single load collector and single load step.

    Hi Prakash,

    thanks for the answer.

i tried it in single load step but still there is very little (0.6mm displacemement) in -Z direction as contratry to 5mm in +Z, but both forces are equal.

    any guesses about this behaviour.

    regards.

    Palash,

    Is the model/part symmetric?
