Hi, is it possible to specify a fixed position for the core during shuffle optimization. During the optimization the solver puts the core outside the laminate leading to failure of the structure.
the 180 degree ply is the core.

Not exactly a fixed position but you can specify the range of plies which needs to be a part of shuffling optimization using RANGE in DSHUFFLE card.
But, unfortunately this option is not available through GUI and it has to be furnished manually in the input
