what type of properties is require for wood material
i m currently doing some topology optimization with my model and my default material is Steel(MAT1), but i also want to apply wood as well. I try changing the NU, E, and G but the rsult are the dame. i read some notes about using MAT9, but what kind of information is required for using MAT9 and is Mat9 the correct one?

Hi @wen li tang
Wood is anisotropic in nature. You can use MAT2 or MAT8 or MAT9, MAT9ORT depending on type of element you use. MAT8, MAT9(ORT) are orthotropic which needs E, Nu, G values in three directions unlike MAT2.

so for my analysis, the wood properties is very limited, what can i use then?
