For complex thin structure, we often cannot get a complete midsurface. That is to say, the surface is discontinuity or intersection. Is there any example about midsurface extract and repair script for complex structure? Thank you.

I recommend to use the midmesh panel in 2D page.
It just select a component, and input mesh size (2.0), and check the 'flatten connections' and hit the create button. You can get the below pictured result using direct midmesh panel.
