Failure criteria

Hey,

 

I am modeling in optistruct a spring that is made out of steel:

 

Material: mat1 with mats1. yield point is 355 Mpa and UTS is 490 Mpa (elongation is 22%)

Property: PSOLID

Load Step: Non-Linear transit analysis (Type DTRAN)

  

When i run the analysis i get good results compered to tensile test we have done on the spring.

The thing is that when i review the results i see that their are elements that exceeded the plastic strain limit (22%) or UTS stress limit but no failure/damage/disruption has occurred. Is there any criteria that i need to input that will take in consideration the failure of the specific elements?
