Spring Elements Issue
Hi,
I have the issue that my spring elements do not stay connected during the simulation on one side and just move off the object (and therefore also do not get loaded) -> see images ( + settings: ).
Thanks, Cheers

Hi,
Ensure that the springs are modeled correctly.
Please go through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNc9oVVkBa8&index=2&list=PL1u26y75SCrA_BOCLaSewVCNY7xRvCTnA which is a webinar that shows creating connections in RADIOSS profile.

I went through this tutorial many times and it doesn't help me. If I create springs the same way I just get an error message ('1 spot connector created; 0 realized') and since the tutorial just shows how it is done in his example without giving further explanations on the meanings of the settings or when it works this way and when not, it is quite useless. For example I don't understand why there are different ways to create springs (1D>springs OR 1D>connectors>spot>type=spring OR 1D>connectors>spot>type=type2 (spring)) and I don't really find it somewhere properly described (not even in the manual). Or does it matter if a spring is connected to a solid or a shell or a combination of both?
So where do i find good(!) information on that.
Thanks for the support!

Hi,
Please go through this webinar http://www.altairuniversity.com/learning-library/v_c_required-input-for-spring-elements-in-radioss/ which describes about the spring elements in RADIOSS.
Also go through RADIOSS user guide where you may get more information on spring elements.
You can download the User Guide, Reference Manual on RADIOSS from the post below:
