Hi everybody,

I am trying to optimize a wheel carrier using OptiStruct (HyperMesh v14.0). Unfortunately, the simulation stops after the 9th iteration and I receive this error:

*** INTERNAL PROGRAMMING ERROR ***

   in file 'addacol.F', at location # 59.

       ioerr(1) =     652858

       ioerr(2) =     650580

       ioerr(3) =     652862

       ioerr(4) =          8

       ioerr(5) =         17

****  ABORTING RUN DUE TO AN INTERNAL ERROR  ****

In a previous optimization, which worked just fine, I used contacts between the blue bracket the red part (non-designspace) and the grey part (designspace) but did not receive a proper result. For this reason, I switched to connectors (bolts) and created two of them in the holes. This model is more accurate than the first one. I did not change any other parameters etc.

Can you help me finding my mistake?

Thanks in advance,

Pano

Apparently I fixed the problem. I did not change anything but it worked the third time I tried to run the optimization.

    Kind regards,

    Pano
