Hello all,

I am student of BE Mechanical Engineering, currently working on my final year project which is based on induction heating system to braze diamond tips to carbon steel rods for concrete core cutting bits.

I am having difficulty in designing, simulating and selecting work coil for my project using FLUX. I have applied for its license file. I just want to know, has anyone here worked at it? So I can work with them or under their guidance and help to complete my project and to share knowledge?

Thanks Allot.

Best Regards,

Hamza Shakoor

    Hello Hamza,

I think the best way to get into induction heating applications with Altair Flux is take advantage of the examples which are already provided in Flux Supervisor.

You will find two Flux projects with very detailed documentation going to Open Example (2D) -> Technical tutorials -> Induction heating/ Induction heating with multiphysics coupling (see image).

Hope this helps with your project.<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>Induction_Heating_Examples.thumb.png.36950966ffb4564ff71b6cb6709262e8.png

    Hi,

I suggest using CENOS under free academic licence (for students) for induction coil and process design simulation and modelling!
