DVPREL1 unavailability of accessing T in PCOMP card
Hello,
I have a model that includes PCOMPs and I have already ran the free-sizing optimization. After opening the second file and transforming the derived STACKs and PLYs into PCOMP entities and values, I followed the process as it is described in the tutorial, but after output there exists an error message stating that there is no 'T10' field in the property card, which is impossible, because it is included in the output file. I have 6 PCOMP properties with approximately 50 layers each of them. The error message concerns the DVPERL1 card where after 9th layer's thickness there seem to be an unavailability to get the value from the 10th layer.
Can you suggest me anything about overcoming this problem? I hope you can answer my question as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Christos
PS: It is vital not to change the model properties from PCOMPs to STACKs and PLYs

Hi Christos,
Could you please point me to the tutorial you are referring to?

Hi Prakash,
It's a tutorial that has to do with a skateboard with title: 'Composite Optimization of a skateboard with OptiStruct'

Hi Christos,
I updated the DVPREL1 13200 which the error is referring and I am able to run the model now.

Hi Prakash,
Can you please describe me what kind of problem existed??

Looks like solver didn't recognize the thickness variable for property 1.
Updating this worked.

Hi Prakash,
Can you send me back the output file to check it? Because it still doesn't seem to work for me

Hi,
Here is the out file, I had to stop the run as soon as analysis started.

Hi Prakash,
In fact the main problem is that I use a different pre-processor from Hypermesh, but I use OptiStruct feature as an optimization solver, that's why I want to check the *.fem file if there are any differences from what I have sent to you.
Thanks a lot,
Christos.

Hello Prakash,
I use ANSA, because I don't have access to other programs from the university.

Christos,
OK, thank you. But how do you access OptiStruct?

Hello,
I found a license from OptiStruct and the newest version of ANSA support such keywords. Can you propose me any way to overcome this issue?
Thanks a lot,
Christos.
