Normal mode analysis

Hi, 

 

Can we do normal mode analysis in Radioss 2017. If means please tell me which option i have to use if you have any example please let me know.

    Hi Ajaykumar,

    In RADIOSS modal analysis is supported only for single component level. Multi component models with contacts, joints...etc is not supported in RADIOSS.

    I strongly recommend you to use OptiStruct for modal analysis.

    For modal analysis, activate the/EIG card. The card is as shown in the picture below.

    Also add the below keywords for activating the Implicit linear load step in the engine file:

    /IMPL/LINEAR

    /IMPL/SOLVER/1
