Specific energy

Hi,

In a quasi static analysis I visualize specific energy contour and few elements have negative specific energy. I don't know why. Is there a theory guide to study how Radioss calculate this energy?

Furthermore, in carbon fiber shell elements the contour isn't defined (N/A).....

Have you included any orthotropy direction initialization card in your model like /INISHE/ORTH_LOC?

If yes, can you remove the same and check the results?

That card is not enabled. Results are the same.
