Define distance between two surfs

Hello all,

 

I have to define a fixed distance between the two components in the picture below. Is there in HyperMesh or OptiStruct any possibility to control the distance between the components during a topology optimization?

 

It would be great, if anyone could help me.

    Hi Tobias,

     

    Do you want to fix the distance between two components shown ryt?

     

    You can simply constraint in the Z direction for both components so that they don't move when there is any load coming and the relative displacement btwn nodes of two components is zero.
