Type 20 interface

I would like to replace type 7 interface (a global interface which has many components in my model) with a type 20 interface. Is it possible to use type 20 interface in this context?? Or it should be used only between single surfaces of two components? Pl give me your opinion on this.

Normally we use Type 7 interface for defining global interface.
