Hello sir,

I am working on my M.tech project. I modeled a composite laminate which has over all thickness of 12mm. It has  6 plies, each having thickness 2 mm (subjected to bending load) . I am assigning PCOMPP card to 2-D elements.I want to ask you,IS there any limit to thickness of ply or thickness of laminate for using PCOMPP card .

I dont think so. There is not limit with thickness on PCOMPP.

PCOMP is used for zone based modelling where the structure is divided into zones where as PCOMPP is a ply based modelling approach.
