Do you know how OptiStruct set the rigid body?

 

I want to use rigid body to compare with my RBE2 in same model.

RBE2 and rigids are same element type which add infinite stiffness on to the part.

I know the RBE2 is to used the nodes let the part be rigid.

 

If I want to set the component to be rigid, can I just set the part to be rigid. Don't need to choose node.

Hi,

In RADIOSS we have the option to select the component directly for making it rigid, so that all the nodes in that component will automatically selected.

But in OptiStruct we don't have this option.
