Hello,

I would like to understand the differences between "Time Id Barring" vs. "Barring":

I did some tests sending data from Altair Activate, and I just saw differences on the Barring regarding "Transform Settings".

Thanks.

Additionally, for the benefit of anyone reviewing this question in the future:

Time Id Barring in the connector settings and the Barring on the Time Series Transform are both about making data less granular along the time dimension. For example, with Minute barring, any data records with a time id value within the same minute will be aggregated into a single data record, representing that specific minute, and thereby seconds and lesser time units will be

If you have already applied Time Id Barring in the data connector settings, there is no need to also do it in the Time Series Transform.

When loading data with a connector, you may or may not want to apply a timeseries transform on the data. A time series transform on the data is needed only when you want to visualize the data with time as a continuous variable on the x-axis. When you are working with data visualized in some other way, you can simply ignore the Barring setting under Time Series Transform.
