Dear sir/madame

When I carry out the hand calculations of the classical lamination theory to get the local stresses in each ply and I want to check my results using Hyperview, what type of stresses should I apply?

Should I apply the major and minor stresses or the normal X and normal Y stresses ?

    Hi Alaa. meas,

     

    The results you get from CST is theoretical stress and you can compare with major/minor and component stress except vonmises stress.
