IGS file of 1GB

Hi,

I got a project for Meshing and Analysis. So I am planning to do this in hypermesh and Ansys.

My machine is 2.8GHz Processor (Intel i7-4810), 32 GB Ram, 1TB hard drive.

tried to open the igs(1GB File size) but it is taking long time to load.

please let me know how to solve this issue. Is there any other way to resolve this.

like virtual machine.. or splitting the model into sub assemblies etc...

I am a freelancer so not able to invest much on Machine.

You can not split IGES file without load it into Hypermesh.

So try to do that with CAD software. Or try another (and better) format like STEP?
