Hello all,

I want to import modal result file to other software for next analysis. However, the .h3d format is not supported. Is it possible to output other format in optistruct? How to set up?

What is the end objective of your requirement? If you are planning to do Frequency or transient response analysis then you could still use OptiStruct.

In OptiStruct you can save the natural frequencies resulting from a normal mode analysis using EIGVSAVE option. The eigen values saved can be used further into mode based dynamic procedures like frequency and transient response using EIGVRETRIEVE option.

Thank you Rahul. Is it possible to output other format result files in optistruct? I should transfer the results to other people and they use other solvers. Thank you.

Thank you Rahul. I will try it. By the way, what's the difference between format and output control card?

The FORMAT command can be used in the I/O Options section to indicate the format in which results are to be output.
The OUTPUT command can be used to control the format of results output and the creation of certain results files.
