Constitutive relation for isotropic material

I understand there are different constitutive models for different material, but I am asking only about ISOTROPIC material

What is the constitutive relation used for Solid, 1D elements, Is it 3D constitutive relation or 2D (plane stress/plane strain) constitutive relation ?

Are shell elements use 2D PLANE STRESS constitutive relation by default ?

I could not find this any Altair manual.
