Lattice type

Hello 

 

As in the tutorial OS-T 3300 described, a line like following one has to be added in the name.fem file: + LATTICE 1 0.1 0.7 200 .

Now I would like to change the lattice type. As in the Lattice Structure Optimization file documented, four different types of lattice type exist. 

'The lattice type can be controlled using the LT field on the LATTICE continuation line.'

Does this mean for example, to implement this line: '+ LATTICE 2 0.1 0.7 200 .' to get the second type of lattice type, or how and where should the LT 2 information be added?

    Hi @OptiStruct If you are using 2017+ you can change lattice type using GUI. Goto Topology panel>> Lattice>> change lattice type

    Do you knwo why I get following ERROR message by changing the lattice type 1 to 2:

     *** ERROR # 1479 *** in the input data:
     Incorrectly formatted numeric data in field 7.
     (If it is a character field, it should start with a letter.)
