Break away element from parent component? [NO ANSWER YET]

When an element reaches a particular stress or strain, it should 'rupture' or get disconnected from its parent component. Deletion is inaccurate for my requirement as I want the element to remain there after rupture. Any property/law that allows this? ANSYS allows this, so it shouldn't be difficult in RADIOSS.

    The element is originally tetra with LAW2 and P_14 property. I just want the element to stop deforming and stay in its current state. It sort of like pausing the element while others continue deforming.
