Initial Penetrations in the model

Hi,

I am using hyper crash version 14 . In my model I found some initial penetrations and I removed them all by depenetrating auto option. However when I load the model again it is showing penetrations again. Is there any way to get rid of it??

Hi Raghav,

Ensure that penetrations from all the defined contact interfaces are removed.Also, provide correct parameters for the defined contacts.

If you still face trouble, please share the model file.

Hi,

After using depenetrating auto option, it generally solves the penetration problem but sometimes it can result in problems due to movement of nodes in near by regions also.

Kindly check this and if elements are less in penetration you can go for manual correction also.
