Nonliner Spring (Type4)

Hi, 

 

I don't understand how I can do a non-linear spring. I want to have a constant spring constant up to a certain strain and from there to have another spring constant. How is that accomplishable?

I've seen the options and think I need to put the H-value to 1. But I don't really understand how that formula works.

Hi Jonas,

I'm attaching the RADIOSS element library theory manual. All the formulations used are shown here. 

I recommend you to go through the same. Also, please go through Type 13 spring, which  accounts for non-linear stiffness.
