How to separate model of small or large displacement?

I have 2 question

1. I want to know in OpitStruct we can do the contact for the different types.

It have small and large displacement. Here I want to know does their have the standard to separate how to choose?

I know small is about the contact and MATS1

large displacement is about the  large strain elasto-plasticity  and Geometric nonlinearities.

Does I miss something?

2. I have the problem of MATS1

I know we can do set the TABLE for the plastic stress

And my problem is can I use the MATS1 to define the Tangent modulus to replace the TABLE? Because in our table we defined the curve point.

The table is defined in terms of total strain (TYPSTRN=0), the first point must be at the origin (X1=0, Y1=0) and the second point (X2, Y2) must be at the initial yield point (Y1) specified on the MATS1 entry. The slope of the line joining the origin to the yield stress must be equal to the value of E.

But at here if we have defined the young's modulus, if it doesn't same. How the software choose for it's young's modulus.

    Hi @LKZ

If you are using STRN=0 you need curve starting from (0,0) and the E should match the curve.

If not, E will be used from MAT1.

@Prakash Pagadala Thanks to your apply.

I know you said. If we started from the value (0,0), the E should be as same as the TABLES1 data's young's modulus.

If not the young's will use the MAT set.

I want to try an verification about this .

I want to apply the E=210 GPa

But I don't have other the MATS1's TABLE started at (0,0) data.

Can you give me a material model from (0,0) and it's young's modulus is different from 210GPa.

So I could have the verification.

    Really thanks.

    Q2 :

And the last question if it use the MAT1 because the MATS1 is failed.

So now the model just have the linear material?

    @LKZ

I have the default steel with 210 E material data which can be shared.

You can look on web for example on MATWEB for ductile materials

@Prakash Pagadala Thanks to your apply.

    I have found the material.
