Hi,

 

I have created a step file in which I had kept measurement in mm. Now if I use consistent units N,m,s,Kg. What happens to the imported geometry? 

 

I have created a model using Siemens NX, while creating that particular model I used mm in the whole model. Later I saved it to step file and imported the same in hypermesh.

Now I understand I need to maintain consistent units so does it mean I need to now keep every unit in hypermesh in mm only.

    Hi Kartik,

    Yes Kartik, follow the unit in mm and you need to maintain a consistent unit system. 

    Most followed unit system in industry is Tonnes, mm and sec. Please find the consistent unit system.
